Drive units

Drive Unit Rebuilds

A noisy drive unit, or one with coolant intrusion, is a typical reason people come in. We rebuild and repair drive units — fixing the failure, and improving the unit where that makes sense.

This is in-shop work: the unit comes apart on the stand, the problem is addressed, and it goes back together as a working assembly.

When to come in Unusual noise from the drive unit, signs of coolant in the unit, or a drive unit that’s already been flagged as failing. Call or text with the symptoms (and any codes you have).

High-voltage batteries

Battery Repair / Replacements

High-voltage packs can often be repaired. When they can’t, replacement is the path. We handle both — repair when it’s possible, replace when it’s needed.

Battery jobs are shop jobs: the vehicle is on the lift, the pack comes down, and we work from there.

When to come in Pack faults, a battery that won’t charge or hold a charge the way it should, or a vehicle that’s already been told it needs battery work. We’ll talk through repair vs. replacement on the phone or by text before you haul it in.

Other HV System Repairs

Beyond the drive unit and the pack, we repair or replace onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, and other high-voltage system components.

If the car isn’t charging, the 12-volt side is struggling in a way that points at the DC/DC, or another HV part has failed, that’s this kind of job.

When to come in Charging problems that look like the onboard charger, DC/DC or 12-volt issues tied to the HV system, or a known-bad HV component. Call or text with what the car is doing.
